CHI 101

Hi, today I'm going to write a Chinese lesson. I don't want to study now, but I need to anyway, so maybe it'll be easier if I type up yesterday's class. I typed it in Visio since I wanted the JPEG output. The Chinese language originated from pictures. Imagination is required to find meaning in these pictograms. Today some of the representations are pretty obscure. Here are a few of the basic and memorable ones:
For those who are wondering how I type the characters, it's not difficult at all. Windows has something built in, but I'm using a little gadget from Google instead. All I have to do is type in the Pinyin (arabic alphabet) word for the character I want and it pops up on the screen. Download it here. That's all for today. Have a good week!   谢 谢!
